Meet Mallory, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist • Myofascial Release Therapist
Hi, I'm Mallory Massey, a licensed Occupational Therapist and Myofascial Release Therapist dedicated to helping people move better, feel better, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
My passion for helping others stems from a belief that pain and physical limitations should not prevent anyone from living a fulfilling life. Through a personalized, whole-body approach, I work with clients to identify the underlying causes of discomfort, improve mobility, and support lasting change.
I understand that every person and every body is different. That's why I take the time to listen, understand your goals, and create treatment plans tailored specifically to your needs. Whether you're managing chronic pain, recovering from an injury, experiencing tension and stress, or simply looking to move with greater ease, my goal is to help you feel supported every step of the way.
As both an Occupational Therapist and Myofascial Release Therapist, I combine clinical knowledge with compassionate, hands-on care to help clients restore function, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.
I look forward to helping you find greater comfort, mobility, and confidence in your everyday life with a gentle hands-on approach.
Myofascial Release Therapy
Looking Beyond Where It Hurts
Myofascial Release is a gentle, hands-on approach that focuses on areas of tightness and restriction within the fascial system—the connective tissue that surrounds and supports your muscles, joints, nerves, and other structures throughout the body.
A Whole-Body Approach
Unlike traditional massage, Myofascial Release uses gentle, sustained pressure without oils or lotions. This allows me to feel how the tissue responds and follow areas of restriction rather than simply working where you feel pain.
Your session is completely individualized. We may work in areas that seem unrelated to where you're experiencing symptoms because tension within the fascial system can extend beyond the area where discomfort is felt. Treatment may include sustained myofascial techniques, gentle traction, movement, positioning, and education to help you better understand your body.
As an occupational therapist, I’m able to take treatment a step further by looking at how pain, tension, mobility, posture, and movement patterns are affecting the things you need and want to do every day. Myofascial Release can be combined with therapeutic movement, positioning, body mechanics, activity modification, and personalized education to help carry the changes we create during treatment into your everyday life. The goal isn't simply to address an area of discomfort, but to help you move and function more comfortably in the activities that matter to you.
The Occupational Therapy Difference
Occupational therapy allows me to take treatment beyond the treatment table.
I look at how pain, tension, mobility, posture, and movement patterns may be affecting the things you need and want to do every day. When appropriate, we can combine hands-on Myofascial Release with therapeutic movement, positioning, body mechanics, activity modification, and individualized education.
The goal isn't simply to address an area of discomfort—it’s to help the changes we create during treatment translate into how you move, function, and participate in everyday life.
More Than Hands-On Treatment
Every session is individualized, and sometimes hands-on Myofascial Release is only one piece of the approach. When appropriate, I may also incorporate the Dolphin Neuro-stim, a handheld device that provides gentle microcurrent stimulation to complement your treatment.
Scar Release
Supporting mobility around healed scars and areas of tissue restriction.Vagus Nerve Reset
Gentle stimulation designed to support relaxation and autonomic regulation.Needle-Free Acupoint Stimulation
Targeted microcurrent stimulation of selected acupoints and trigger points—without needles.
Treatment Designed Around You
There is no one-size-fits-all session at Inner Ease Therapy. Your treatment is guided by what we find during your assessment, how your body responds, and what you're hoping to accomplish.
Some sessions may focus primarily on hands-on Myofascial Release, while others may incorporate therapeutic movement, education, Dolphin Neurostim techniques, or other occupational therapy interventions.
Your body is more than the place that hurts. My goal is to help you better understand it, move more comfortably within it, and get back to doing the things that matter to you.
